Linkages are needed as a divide endure between bodies of work emphasising collaboration aspects, and others focusing on experimental designs of varying complexity. Both are needed, as OFE is a multi-facetted process.

Similarly, whilst OFE can stand alone it can also be part of broader processes, to explore, investigate in-depth, scale, adapt, enrich. From living labs to innovation platforms or community hubs, all require connections and integration to ensure quality processes and robust outputs.

Every situation is unique, therefore solutions must be bespoke. Nevertheless, patterns and lessons learnt in other contexts can accelerate locally-anchored learning and effective implementation.
